Development Files

Peak Dale Gardens gives you the rare opportunity to own a brand-new home where everything you need is just minutes away by foot, bicycle or car.

Whether it be shops, mega-stores, public transport (bus and train), parks, cafes, restaurants as well as some of England’s most fabulous scenery, all are literally just around the corner from your new home at Peak Dale Gardens!

Rugged History – Modern Destination

Glossop’s history as an important Industrial Revolution mill-town still shows in the rugged beauty of it’s sturdy sandstone buildings. Many of the old industrial structures are so impressive they’ve been preserved, and in many cases modernised and converted into dwellings or office spaces. Much of the old industry has been replaced by the town’s relatively young role asan important tourism destination.

Glossop has a brilliant selection of eateries, including pubs, cafés and restaurants, sure to satisfy the fussiest of palates. If you fancy a few hours away from your lovely new Peak Dale Gardens kitchen you’re never more than a few minutes’ walk away from some awesome dining! Glossop has its own Leisure Centre offering a gym, sports hall, a climbing wall and squash courts.

There’s also a beautifully renovated Victorian-era indoor swimming pool which stays open most days until 9:30pm, a perfect way to de-stress after a long day at work. The swimming pool building is set in the lovely woodlands of Howard Park, a picturesque garden-style park, complete with ponds, lawns and strolling paths.

A few minutes’ walk from the swimming pool takes you to much larger Manor Park where you’ll find lots for you and your family to enjoy including a skatepark and shelter, a children’s play area for toddlers to 12 year olds, bowling greens (for the not so young children), tennis and basketball courts, a miniature railway, a miniature golf course, a pavilion with toilets and a café, an informal sports area, a sensory garden and much more.

Transportation

Just 3/4 mile from Peak Dale Gardens you’ll find Glossop railway station with frequent trains giving you a quick 30-minute ride directly to Manchester. A 40-minute drive on the A57 through the stunning scenery of Snake Pass and the High Peaks takes you to Sheffield.

Regular bus services through Glossop to nearby towns are plentiful, you won’t have to travel far to catch a bus to the town centre or to Buxton. Hourly buses to those places as well as to Chapel High School stop, right outside Peak Dale Gardens.

The Perfect Lifestyle Choice

There is a great choice of wonderful Infant and Primary schools in Glossop. There are also two well regarded Secondary schools in town and many more in nearby towns such as Hyde and Stockport.

Glossop’s range of big brand stores to traditional shops and its wide variety of pubs, cafes and restaurants make this a super town to live in.

Hiking in the Peak District or mega-shopping, theatre-going, movie-watching in Manchester (and all activities in between), shopping, swimming, park-strolling, fine dining in Glossop or simply relaxing in your friendly neighbourhood, Peak Dale Gardens and enjoying your Walmer New home
